Super System"

Review

What is this package basically?

Most other books and course that I’ve reviewed on this web site, primarily focuses on either Marketing in general, or marketing a product, in particular.

Steve Hackney’s package, ”The Power Marketing Super System”, is a complete Marketing guide that’s strictly tailored to marketing a service business.

And when I say, “a complete guide”, I really mean so. I’ve seldom seen so much information put together into one course.

What do you get in this package?

First of all you get Steve Hackney’s main manual on effective and successful Service Marketing, ”The Power Marketing Super System”.

This manual is Steve Hackney’s detailed guide to establishing and promoting your own highly successful service business.

Do you get other things?

Not only do you get the main manual, which range more than 260 pages. In addition to this you also get 7 bonus reports.

And make no mistake about it: These bonus reports don’t look anything near like the bonus reports you usually get when you buy a course on Marketing.

No, these bonus reports really deliver. They certainly don’t look like the bonus “reports” that accompany most other ebooks on Marketing.

One of the bonus reports (a step-by-step guide to writing compelling sales letters) ranges 147 pages, and another one (“The Quick Fix Marketing Kit”) ranges 99 pages.

And that’s just two of the bonus reports.

You also get the following bonus reports by Steve Hackney:

  • “The Lead Generation Tool Kit” (107 pages) – a report containing templates and sample letters.
  • “The Sales Conversion Arsenal” (93 pages) – containing “live and successful examples relating to each part of the Sales Conversion Super System”
  • “The Information Pack Template” (49 pages) – showing you “how to convert dozens more prospects into eager buyers using a powerful information pack”
  • “The Competition Buster” (43 pages) – showing you how to “eliminate your competition using this simple service business secret”.
  • “18 Proven Referral Strategies” (23 pages) – a guide to getting all the business referrals you could wish.

Unless you’re totally immune to being impressed, you can’t help getting impressed by the wealth of information you get here. After having reviewed a lot of Marketing related material, I’m rather difficult to impress, but I must admit that I personally got impressed when I saw how much information Steve Hackney has crammed into ”The Power Marketing Super System”.

Besides, what makes all this even more impressive, is that all the books and reports in ”The Power Marketing Super System” apparently has been written by Steve Hackney himself. Very often the bonus reports you get in other courses are just reports the seller has bought the reprint rights to. Thus, you can often see the same old reports enclosed as bonus reports with product after product. But as I said, so far as I can see, all the bonus reports in ”The Power Marketing Super System” has been written by Steve Hackney himself and not by someone else.

Personally I really find this commendable. The bonuses you get with ”The Power Marketing Super System” really are valuable extra reports and books that you get in addition to the main product. That is, the bonus reports aren’t just reports ranging a couple of pages or so, containing material that could just as easily have been included in the main product.

No the author of this course personally stands behind not only the main product but also the bonus reports, because he’s personally written them. And the bonus reports are so valuable that they could easily have been sold for the total price of the whole course.

That’s what I call real bonuses!

What does the author of this book write about (in this book)? What does the chapters in this book contain?

Earlier I called the main manual contained in ”The Power Marketing Super System” for a “detailed guide to establishing and promoting your own highly successful service business”. And this certainly isn’t an exaggeration.

Just taking a quick look at the contents list, will immediately show you that this a really detailed course.

Now, by called it a detailed course I don’t mean that it’s a dry and boring, academic course. Far from it! I just mean that the author, Steve Hackney, covers an impressive range of tips, strategies and techniques here.

Is there anything unique about this information? Does the author include anything that other authors don't usually cover?

When you read ”The Power Marketing Super System” it’s quite evident that this course isn’t based upon pure theoretical knowledge. Steve Hackney is clearly practising what he’s preaching.

This fact also was confirmed to me when I recently tried to contact Steve Hackney. I tried for more than a week to catch him. Each time his kind secretary told me that he was out with a client. Steve was kind enough to call me back immediately after my first call – but then I was out of my office :-) But I couldn’t help thinking to myself that Steve obviously has a very busy and successful service business, considering how busy he was serving his paying clients.

Nothing is more disappointing than when it’s obvious to you, as the reader, that the author doesn’t have a clue about what going on in the real world. I’ve often read such books on marketing and personal sales, that seem far removed from the everyday challenges you face in the real business world. This certainly doesn’t apply to Steve Hackney and this course.

In the introduction to ”The Power Marketing Super System”, Steve Hackney says:

“I’ve given you every secret. No details have been spared, or missed out. And you get the lot - well all the stuff that works!

“Not one aspect of the information contained in this course is theory. None of it is hearsay. None of it is based on concepts. Everything you read has been tried and tested by me and by our clients.”

What do I like in this book?

One aspect of Steve Hackney’s marketing approach, which I really like, is his emphasis on using Direct Response Marketing methods and strategies. So much of the marketing advice given out today, isn’t based on solid Direct Response Marketing. Personally, I think the Direct Response Marketing approach is the only viable way to go, if you want to market a business. And this particularly apply if your business has a limited budget.

Now, Direct Response Marketing isn’t limited to just sending out Direct Mail, even though it usually includes this technique.

No, when I talk about Direct Response Marketing I’m first of all talking about a fundamental approach to doing business. According to this approach, all your marketing activities have to be tracked and tested if they’re going to have any lasting positive effect on your business.

If you adhere to this way of marketing, you don’t waste time, money or energy on any marketing activity that you can’t test or track the effectiveness of.

All your Direct Response Marketing activities has this goal: To establish a direct link between each activity and the results you want to see. Usually the results are: Getting more and better leads for your business, getting more and better customers, and keeping those customers.

“But exactly how do I do that”, many business owners ask.

That’s precisely the question that Steve Hackney answers in ”The Power Marketing Super System”.

Steve Hackney shows you how to lay a solid foundation for your service business. And he strongly emphasises that many of the traditional approaches to Marketing don’t work very well if you try to market a service business instead of a product.

Basically, ”The Power Marketing Super System” shows you how to…

  • Get more, high quality leads for your service business.
  • Convert more of these leads into customers.
  • Keep your customers, so that they buy from you again and again.

These are the three ‘success areas’ Steve Hackney aim at covering in his system.

For the rest of the course, Steve Hackney shows you exactly how to win on each of these three ‘success areas’.

Among other things, you learn how to cause your service business to stand out among all your competitors.

You learn how to use Risk Reversal to make your offer seem irresistible.

You’ll also discover how to get and use testimonials to get more leads and customers.

Just to mention a few points of what Steve Hackney covers here.

However, this course is more than just a collection of marketing tips. ”The Power Marketing Super System” is – as the title also says – truly a complete, coherent system, not just a bunch of isolated tips about different aspects of Marketing.

Steve Hackney’s principles work together as a unit and strengthen each other. This is very important, in my opinion. Only by building your marketing on a system, will your marketing become really successful.

What could have been better?

I’m sorry that have to disappoint some of my more critical readers, but I don’t have anything really critical to say about this course. I simply think this course is that good!

I just have one minor critical point that I’ve often mentioned in some of my other reviews: The contents lists in the ebooks in ”The Power Marketing Super System” misses interactive (“clickable”) titles. By this I mean, you can’t click on the titles and headlines in the contents list and then automatically be forwarded to the corresponding page in the report you read.

This is not a really serious criticism. It would just have been easier if this technical feature had been included. It would have been easier to find exactly the information you’re looking for when browsing through each book or report.

Finally, I’d like to comment on Steve Hackney’s writing style. Steve has a really engaging and lively way of writing. Despite all the details you get in the course, I found it really easy to read. Often Steve follows the old, proven principle: First tell your readers what you’re going to tell them. Then tell it. And finally, once again tell them what you’ve just told them.

This doesn’t mean that he repeats himself endlessly. Not at all! It just means that he gives you a really good overview over each of his principles and strategies. In other words, you don’t feel lost when you read the course. You quickly feel that you get a good grasp of each technique and strategy.

In my personal opinion this is very important and valuable. It’s really annoying to pay for and then read a book which just leaves you more bewildered and confused than before. But this definitely doesn’t apply to this course. It’s easy to read, and you easily get a good understanding of each point.

Overall assessment

If after having read what I’ve just said, you get the impression that I like this course, you’ve got me right.

In fact, I’m quite enthusiastic over this impressive package on marketing service businesses.

I’ve seldom seen a more detailed, yet highly readable and practical, marketing course. The course is built upon old – and some new – principles of successful Marketing. It’s the combination of and practical way of applying these principles that constitute the core of this system.

But even if you’re an old player in the Marketing game, I predict that you’ll probably find some uncovered pieces of gold here.

In my opinion this course is worth every cent you pay for it, if you would like to get more customers to your service business. And even if you don’t market a product - instead of a service business – I can almost assure you that you’ll discover a lot of really useful Marketing strategies here.

In short, I highly recommend that you invest in this valuable course.
