Review
Monique Harris and Ken Evoy are
arguable some of the best known and most successful Internet
marketers today.
They've each written extensively about such subjects as
creating information products and internet marketing.
Monique Harris is the author of several reports, books and
manuals, such as "How to Make Your Business Famous in 6
Months or Less", "How to Make $50,000 a Year (or
more) Creating and Selling Information Products Online"
and several others. No wonder, Ken Evoy asked Monique to
create MYKS.
And Ken Evoy is the author of the bestseller "Making Your
Site Sell", better known as MYKS.
Now they have co-authored this course, titled "Make Your
Knowledge Sell", or just MYKS.
A
winning team
Actually Monique seems to have written the major part of the
main manual, and Ken has then added some comments and tips
here and there.
When I first saw that they had joined to write a course on how
to create your own information products, I immediately got
interested.
I really like the information products they've created earlier
on, and I was excited to see if has done it again.
Didn't
get disappointed
And I must say that I didn't
get disappointed! This course has so much highly valuable
insider information in it, that it could easily have been
priced a several hundred dollars. That's how
good I think this course is.
Detailed
First of all, this course is
very detailed. It doesn't just skip lightly through the
process of creating your own information products. No, Monique
and Ken cover all the fundamental steps to creating
information products. And with this course in your hand,
you'll be well equipped to start and run your own information
business.
Just take a look at the content above, and you'll soon realize
that this course includes a LOT of information.
Monique and Ken goes through
the process of creating your own information products,
step-by-step. And that's what I really like about this course.
So often you can hear some famous expert tell you to
"just write a book" or "just go ahead and
create that information product". Or may be they go more
in details, but still they leave out the vital important steps
you need guidance to take.
Not so Monique and Ken!
No, they tell you how to pick a hot topic for your information
product, how to create or acquire your product, and how to
market and sell it. And in between they give you most of all
the nitty-gritty details on how to both get started and run
your business.
Some
unique information too
There are several competing
infobiz-courses on the market today. Many of them are useful.
But often they look like each other too much.
I don't think this can't be said about this course.
On several places it has some unique information you won't
easily find elsewhere.
For instance, Monique shares
how she went against the main stream and launched a paid-for
electronic newsletter. So often you hear that it's just
impossible to charge anything for an ezine today.
People expect to get electronic
newsletters for free, or so the argument goes.
Monique chose to challenge this almost undisputed
Internet-creed. And she admits that a lot of people laughed at
her in disbelief. But the fact is that this paid-for
electronic newsletter succeeded beyond her wildest dreams. I
just read that this newsletter is more profitable to Monique
than all the rest of her product combined! And the rest of
Monique's products has to my knowledge sold very well.
But Monique don't just share her success-story. She also shows
her readers the way she did it.
Make
your own profitable guerilla video
Another good chapter in MYKS is
the chapter on making your own "guerilla" videos.
This is the kind of products that made such marketing experts
and product developers as Bill Myers and Barbara Bestir so
successful. Of course these two marketers have other
successful products too, but videos were responsible for much
of the success.
In MYKS Monique shows how you can do the same, how you can
make videos with your own home as your basis.
And as she shows, it doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg to
make your own videos. Videos just have a high perceived value
in the eyes of most buyers. That's yet another reason that
they may be a good way to pack your information.
The
bonuses
Besides getting the main
manual, MYKS, the buyer of this course gets an impressing
number of bonuses. And these bonuses aren't just a few
superficial articles. No, actually some of these bonuses could
separately have been sold for the price of the complete
course.
Bonus
#1: Ken Silver: "E-Book Secrets"
One of the bonuses included, is
Ken Silver's masterpiece, "e-Book Secrets". This
manual is being sold on many websites for $39, which in my
opinion is way too little. Actually Ken Silver's book is a
complete course in itself. And he could easily have sold his
book for the price of the complete MYKS-course, had he chosen
to do so.
So considering that the buyer of MYKS get this course as a
bonus to all the other items, it's really a steal.
In my opinion Ken Silver's book is one of the very best books
on how to start up and run a profitable information business.
Ken covers all the basic steps (plus many more advanced steps)
of creating, marketing and selling your own profitable e-books
from anywhere in the world.
Bonus
#2: "Buying And Selling 'Reprint Rights'"
As a bonus to the main manual,
Ken Evoy has written a report on how to acquire your
information products by buying the reprint rights to an
information product.
This bonus report on 59 pages is written by Ken Evoy. Here Ken
shows how incredible profitable it can be to both sell and buy
reprint rights. He answers such questions as, "Why should
I sell the reprint rights to my product?", "Won't I
be helping my competitors?", "How do I find products
for which I can buy the reprint rights?", "How do I
earn money by selling the reprint rights to my product?",
"Where do I find governmental information that's public
domain and thus reprintable?", "What are the
pitfalls?", just to mention a few of the questions Ken
answers.
Besides, Ken gives you the
necessary document for making reprint agreements. These
documents can be very valuable when you want to make your
first reprint-deal.
In short, this is a very valuable bonus-report which could
easily have been sold as a product on it's own.
Bonus
#3: "120 New Marketing Places To Promote And Sell Your
Information Product Online"
Bonus #4: "186 Marketing Places To Promote And Sell Your
Information Product Online"
These two bonuses produced by
Monique, can be very valuable for the new infopreneur. Here
Monique lists website after website, through which the
infopreneur can promote her or his information products.
Bonus
#5: "Jump Start Kit"
This manual is filled with
checklists, templates and guides for you to use whenever you
want to launch a new information product, a new website, or
whenever you just want to check all the necessary procedures
of your business. This means that this manual can become an
invaluable tool for your whole business - from start to end.
Here, in this manual, Monique Harris and/or Ken Evoy (no
author is mentioned) liberally shares all the critical lessons
they've learned through years of personal experience in their
e-businesses.
You'll find checklists,
templates and guidelines for just about every aspect of your
business - from what to remember if you want to create your
own discussion board, to what to remember when processing your
orders.
I have a strong sense that this manual will be a frequent
guest on my computer screen. It's that helpful in my opinion!
Bonus
#6: "The Automation Manual"
This bonus-manual by Ken Evoy
is yet another gold mine for both the new and the experienced
information marketer.
Here Ken lists one useful resource after another. He shows you
how to automate your whole business as much as possible. He
shows you how to take credit cards, how to get a fulfillment
company shipping all your orders and so on.
This is yet another highly valuable tool for the infopreneur.
The
tactic: Over-deliver
Ken Evoy's and Monique Harris' business tactic shines clearly
through in this product, just like in Ken Evoy's first course,
MYSS. The tactic is to OVER-DELIVER to the customers. The
result is - hopefully - that the customer gets so satisfied
with the product, that he or she trust the seller enough to
buy even more products.
Did the authors of this course succeed with this strategy?
In my opinion the answer is a clear YES!
Too much information?
Some people would even say that
they almost get too much information here. But that can't be
so bad, huh? Usually it's the exact opposite problem you meet:
You don't get enough detailed information. But this certainly
isn't the case in this course.
Considering the price they charge for this course, I think
it's one of the best investments you could make, if you want
to create your own information products. Of course you can
always discuss if the authors would actually have done wiser
to price the course higher. But then again the number of
buyers may have gone down, and the prospects for the next
product launched by the authors would have been smaller. So
it's always a point of discussion (and TESTING) what to charge
for a product. But whatever, from the view of the buyer of
this course, he or she has every reason to be a satisfied
customer, in my opinion.
To
sum it all up...
To sum it all up, I think this
course is just what we've been missing! It can be the key to a
lifetime of products, and the beginning to your own
successful information business - but of course only if you
actually follow this excellent guide.
