Mike McGroarty: "The Step by Step Internet Success Formula - How I Went from Broke to Tens of Thousands of Dollars on the Internet"

Mike McGroarty's new book, "The Step by Step Internet Success Formula - How I Went from Broke to Tens of Thousands of Dollars on the Internet", is unique on several points.

First of all, Mike doesn't just focus on the online market but also on the offline market. Most ebooks on infopreneuring only concentrates on online markets and products. And I agree with Mike that this is an unfortunate mistake which can cost you dearly.

Mike emphasizes the importance of creating and marketing your products to niche markets. And he really shows you how to find such a market. But Mike doesn't stop there. He moves on and shows how to create your own booklets, how to write order-pulling sales copy, how to build your own web site, how to find a domain name, how to make it easy for the search engines to find your site, how to get listed on Yahoo, how to market it in many different ways, how to use email marketing to get more loyal customers, how to create your own ezine etc. In short Mike covers all the basics for setting up and running your own successful web business.

Much of the information on how to set up and run your own web business is also covered in most other manuals on the same subject. What I particularly like about Mike's course, though, is that you get his own unique view on everything. It's evident that this book isn't just another copycat of the other books on the subject.

Further, Mike shows you how to get free publicity, how to create your own ebooks and how to take payment for your ebook.

I like the way Mike openly shares his tactic for promoting his ebooks. He gives you some really good advice here which many marketer don't share with you. I also find Mike's honesty refreshing. For instance, he openly admits that his products are very plain looking. Not that they don't look as nice as many other products produced by small business people. But Mike readily admits that they don't look as polished as most of the books and products you buy in retail bookshops. But Mike also says that his customers actually loves his products:

"At my gardening site I sell a small book, about three simple reports, and some homemade videos. My customers love my products. Not because they are look good, like the products you see in a bookstore, but because they offer the information that my customers are looking for."

I don't know what you think when you read these words! But to me Mikes' words are very encouraging and motivating. I mean, if a successful infopreneur and marketers admits that his products are selling really well, despite just having plain look, then this gives hope to anyone else. Maybe you don't feel that you can produce any "professional" looking products with a great design. Well, according to Mike (and a lot of other experienced infopreneurs) it doesn't matter that much, as long as the CONTENT of your information fulfills the wishes of your customers. So even if you don't have the talents or the money to give your product a spectacular cover and packing, you can still succeed if you know how to give your buyers the solutions they want to their problems.

When this is said, I actually like the look of "The Step by Step Internet Success Formula"! Yes, it's nothing spectacular or revolutionizing. But I far prefer the clean and structured look of Mike's book to some of the e-books that are filled with a lot of bad clip arts that take up space on your computer, makes the book look much longer and makes it more difficult for you to read it.

Mike's book is very easy to read. And the tone is always personal and warm. You really feel that Mike is sitting right in front of you, sharing his rich experience and his plans with you. Yes, you heard me right! Mike actually shares some of his future plans with his readers. For example he tells of two of the books he has plans about writing in the coming year. This kind of openhearted information gives the book a very personal touch.

The many illustrations and real life stories in "The Step by Step Internet Success Formula" makes it much more light reading. This doesn't mean that you don't get the details you need. Actually, you get a lot of details here. Especially if you don't feel that clever with computers and the Internet, you'll find a lot of helpful details here.

Particularly I like the way Mike is openly sharing his own personal experience with building a business on the Internet. This is definitely one of the most commendable aspects of his book. You really get some friendly, face-to-face advice here. Mike shares his innermost hard won experiences with you. And I think he does so very well. He's not afraid of telling you where he made some mistakes and failed. But then he also shares with you what made him succeed and how you can do the same. For instance, the pages from page 69 and onward, are worth their weight in gold. Honestly! The information on these pages could cut of years of your learning experience.

Mike is also very strong on motivating his readers. Actually you could say that "The Step by Step Internet Success Formula" is Mike's personal story on how he succeeded in his own web business. You really get the feeling that Mike has himself gone all the way before you. He knows where you'll meet hindrances and difficulties, and he shares how he himself overcame them. And he always applies it to your situation and shows you how you can do precisely the same as he has done still is doing.

In many ways Mike McGroarty reminds me of such famous and successful marketers as Jerry Buchanan, Don Massey and Brooks Owen. Like them, Mike's background is in offline mail order, but now he is marketing on the Internet too. The fact that what Mike is doing on the Internet has proven to work in the "real world" too, shows me that he is one of the guys that you can trust.

Summary

In my opinion Mike McGroarty has written a refreshingly unique and helpful book. Much of his information can be found in other places too, if you search long enough. But the unique combination of Mike's hard won experiences and solid advice is a winner.

When you read Mike's book you really feel that he takes you by the hand and shows you step by step how you can build you own online (and offline) business and market it successfully. "The Step by Step Internet Success Formula" delivers exactly what it promises in the title: A step by step formula for succeeding on the Internet.

So, I really, really like this book! I would even go as far as saying that it's one of the best books I've got on creating and marketing your own, self-published information. And considering that Mike only charges $19.95 it's a fantastic deal. I strongly advice you to buy this valuable book.
