Review
In record time Michael Green has become better and better
known to many eager Internet entrepreneurs. His courses on
successful newsletters have made Michael a household name
among many ezine and newsletter marketers. Besides, Michael
has published several other products, created by himself or
other experts.
But how did he do it? What are the methods that have worked
so well for Michael Green?
This course, "How To Create & Sell Products
Online", is Michael Greens detailed and step-by-step
answer to that question. In it Michael shows his readers
exactly how they can emulate his successes - in their chosen
field.
Michael doesn't cut any corners but show you how to...
- Find a good product idea
- Minimize the risks of spending time on unsuccessful
products
- Decide on the best format for your product
- Select a good name for your product
- Create your products (whether you decide to write them
or use other methods)
- Set up a hot-selling web site
- Choose the best domain name for your web site
- Write sales copy that pulls in orders
- Find the software that he has successfully used himself
to automate his e-business
- Make e-covers for ebooks
- Determine the best price for your products
- Use autoresponders to maximize the profits from your web
sites
- Set up automatic marketing machines (like autoresponder
generated e-courses)
- How to best distribute your electronic products
- How to take payment for your products without any hassle
- Etc. etc.
"How To Create & Sell Products Online" isn't
just another superficial 20-page "ebook" that leaves
you bewildered on what to actually do. No, it's evident that
the author, Michael Green, really has put a lot of energy into
this 243-pages manual (plus bonus reports, script
etc.).
In "How To Create & Sell Products Online"
Michael Green covers all the details you need to know in order
to set up your own hot selling products. Actually I got
surprised several times how many useful details that you get
in "How To Create & Sell Products Online" that I
haven't found in some of the other competing courses. These
nitty-gritty details are clear evidence that this course is
based upon Michael Green personal experiences while he
traveled the road to a successful e-business.
One thing that really impressed me about "How To
Create & Sell Products Online" is the thoroughness
Michael Green displays in this course. Michael Green goes well
beyond the normal superficial and worn phrases and slogans,
and goes right to the point.
For example, Michael goes to great lengths to show you how
you can pre-test your new product ideas (see chapter 3 in the
main manual). There are different methods for testing the
profitability of new product ideas, but in my opinion Michael
Green shows you a both realistic and very practical way to
pre-test your ideas. By following these methods, you severely
minimize the risks of spending a lot of time on creating and
marketing products that nobody wants to buy. Thus your
failure/success-cycle will be much shorter. I think this is a
really good and important chapter in the book.
Another good example of the valuable information you'll get
in "How To Create & Sell Products Online" is
Michael's step-by-step description of how he conducts so
called Split-Tests on his web sites. Split-tests are
one of the easiest and most effective ways of cracking the
code of precisely what it takes to sell your product through a
web site. By using split-tests you can pinpoint the exact
factors that has a positive or a negative impact on your
visitors buying decisions. So far as I remember, it was
marketing expert Marty Foley who "invented" online
split-tests and made them popular, and it's apparently also
Marty Foley's cgi-script that Michael Green uses in his own
split-tests. Since then the really successful Internet
marketers have used these kinds of tests to boost the
effectiveness of their web sites. But surprisingly, very
little has been said about precisely how to set up and run
actual split-tests. You're often just being told to do it. But
you're not being told exactly how to do it - that is,
in most of the other courses on Internet Marketing.
Imagine how positively surprised I was when I found out
that covers the subject of split-tests much more extensively
than - so far as I remember - any other Internet Marketing
course I've read recently.
Besides, Michael Green shares some of the actual results he
has gotten through his own split-tests on his web sites (see
p. 149). In my opinion this is a very commendable part of
"How To Create & Sell Products Online".
Another thing I really like about this course, is the
personal experiences which Michael Green has interwoven all
over. You really get a close-up look at precisely how he has
created some of his own products. For example, Michael shares
how he has managed to publish products written by others, such
as the book, "How To Find Happiness".
Allow me to give you a final example of the quality of the
information you get in "How To Create & Sell Products
Online"! One of the problems many Internet entrepreneur
selling electronic products have run into, is that their
products or their affiliate commissions are being stolen by
other people. Several solutions (scripts etc.) have seen the
light of the day which have aimed at solving these problems.
In chapter 16 of this course, Michael Green shares his
personal experiences with you and tells you how he has managed
to solve most of these security problems. This is another very
good part of "How To Create & Sell Products
Online" which makes it a valuable contribution to every
infopreneurs library.
One minor criticism is the lack of a good contents list.
Such a list would give you a better overview over the course
and help you to pinpoint exactly what you need when you're
looking for something particular. But that's also the
most (and the only) negative criticism I have, after having
gone through "How To Create & Sell Products
Online".
However, the PDF-files are set up nicely, and the clean
look of the pages makes the course a pleasure to read and use
whenever you need to consult it.
Overall
assessment
After having gone through this course, my conclusion is
that Michael Green has done it again. In my personal opinion
this course is one of the most realistic and helpful guides to
successful Product Development on the Internet.
When I read this excellent course I got a very strong
impression that this course was built upon Michael Green's
practical and real-life experiences and test-results. This
book isn't just another copycat of other Internet Marketing
courses. No, "How To Create & Sell Products
Online" is a successful Internet entrepreneurs personal
guide - built on proven principles, strategies and techniques
- to launching your own hot-selling products on your own web
site.
As you can see, I feel rather enthusiastic about this
extensive course, "How To Create & Sell Products
Online".
If you want to skip the fluff and go right to the real
stuff, this is a very good place to start. I think you'll find
that you get everything you need to get successfully started
and well beyond.
To make a long story short, you simply can't go wrong with
this one, in my opinion. I give this book my strongest
recommendations.
