Review
Almost
everywhere you go on the Internet you are offered to subscribe
to a free ezine.
And
there is no doubt that an ezine can be a tremendously
profitable source of income, if you do it correctly.
There
has already been written several books on how to start up and
run a successful ezine - among those are several free ebooks.
So
why read yet another book on ezines?
Most
of the books on ezines cover the more mechanic aspects of
starting up and running an ezine. But what's missing in many
of these books, is a clear guidance to making and running an
ezine that stands out among the crowd of ezines PLUS how to
make money from ezines.
And
that's precisely what Lee Benson wants to do in this book. Lee
does cover the
how-to's of starting and running an ezine. But in addition to
this, he wants to show his readers how to make their ezine
really successful. He also shows his readers how to make money
from ezines. And as a publisher of several successful ezines,
Lee knows what he is talking about.
Lee
goes one step further than those books that explains the more
mechanic aspects of starting up and running an ezine and shows
how to cause one's ezine to stand out in the highly
competitive market today. He suggests several ways to make
your ezine become really successful. Besides, he shows you how
to really make money from ezines. And I think that this
combination in Lee's guide, is precisely what makes it
particularly helpful.
He
shows how to get more subscribers. And I think his advices are
both practical and realistic.
He
also shows how to make an ezine a profit-maker. In this
section he describes several methods of doing so - such as
making it easier to get satisfied and repeat advertisers,
using Joint Ventures, using affiliate programs, running
successful ads in other ezines etc., etc.. Lee goes into
pretty details on this point, and he shows precisely how to
make a profit from ezines – your own or that of others.
I
really like Lee's personal style of writing. Very often he
points to his own experiences - both the positive and the more
negative. This makes his book sound believable and genuine.
You clearly sense that this is more than just theory for the
author.
Lee
Benson doesn't just tell his own story, though. He also shows
how to duplicate his success. He shares what works for him,
and how you can do the same.
Sometimes
you'll read an ebook that has so many links that you get
totally confused and disoriented. Lee doesn't fall into this
trap. He has included a several very helpful links, and he has
kept the number of links to what seems relevant. He seems to
have gone through the links and then only included those that
are most useful to his readers.
Summary
This
ebook is one of the four best books I've yet read on how to
successfully run an ezine (the three others are the books by
Rob Willmann and Rick Beneteau). And to date, it’s the best
and most detailed I’ve ever read about how to earn money
through your ezine. I think it’s that good!
