Review

Kristie Tamsevicius’ book, "The Ultimate Guide to Creating and Marketing on the Net", is one of the more recent books on how to create your own ebooks and market them on the Internet.

So when I got this book it seemed interesting, but my question was: "What can this book add to all the other books on creating and marketing ebooks?"

The answer is that Kristie’s book gives a really excellent overview over the whole process of planning, writing, compiling, marketing and selling your ebook. It is a concise and easy-to-read introduction to the subject. Kristie has collected so many helpful resources and tips, that it's gonna be a real help for the new and the more experienced ebook-author alike. The book is concise as it leaves out all the filler-information and all the fluff that sometimes makes a book fill much more than it is justified.

If you want a long, detailed and theoretic explanation on how to create ebooks, this may not be the book for you.

But if you would like to get a short introduction that goes through some of the fundamental steps in the process plus shows you some important resources and tools, this will be a really fine and helpful introduction.

The strength of Kristie’s book is that it’s so concise and easy to read. It doesn’t contain any superfluous stuff. It’s makes it easy for you to get started and return to it whenever you need to find a resource for - for instance - how to set up your own affiliate program successfully.

Since publishing the first edition, Kristie has recently updated the book which has made it even more helpful, as she has added some valuable tips and resources and made it even better.

I miss at least one chapter in "The Ultimate Guide to Creating and Marketing Ebooks on the Net". And that is a chapter on how to research your subject. The researching process is one of the most important processes when you want to create your own information products – whether it’s a print book or an ebook.

With this exception, this is a really fine book that will give you a very good overview over the business of creating, marketing and selling your own ebooks.

One of the best assets of this ebook, is the many links and resources Kristie gives the readers. For instance she lists more than ten different ebook-compilers, some of which are completely free.

Summary

All in all this is a fine introduction to creating and marketing ebooks on the Internet. I especially like the good overview the book gives over how to create and market your own ebooks. It can be a helpful checklist whenever you want to make ebooks.

This is certainly a book that I will consult often whenever I need to find a resource or a tool for creating and marketing information on the Internet. Besides, the excellent overview, the book gives, over the whole process of creating, marketing and selling ebooks will definitely be helpful both to me and to the buyers of this book.
