Review

This book is one of the most detailed descriptions in print on how you can write, market and sell your own information products successfully.

Self-publishing

Dr. Lant primarily writes about conventional selfpublishing, though he also covers creating reports and audio-tapes. I would have liked it if he had also covered how to print on demand. After all that's the way he seems to have started himself.

Very detailed

As I've already said, this book is very detailed. Dr. Lant covers many, many details that you won't find in most other books on the subject. That's something I really like in this book. Even though the author at times seems to stay too long on the same subject, the result is that you get these important points hammered fast.

How to create information you customers want

Jeffrey Lant has some very good points on how to write quality how-to information. Shows the importance of setting the customers first, and deliver what they want to have. In short, he constantly emphasizes the importance of quality in all your business operations. And I think he largely succeeds in showing his readers how they can themselves create quality products and give their customers a quality service.

How to earn and KEEP your profit

One feature in this book, that you usually don't find in other books of this kind, is Dr. Lant's guidance to wisely administrating your profits. Even though he doesn't go into detail, Lant gives you some good guidance to not only earning money in your business, but also keeping them - and multiplying them.

Criticizes other marketers

Jeffrey Lant has a tendency to criticize other marketers. Maybe he does so because he thinks that this makes him sound more authoritative. But often his criticism seems to be an indirect defense for himself and only aimed at showing his own competence. And sometimes Jeffrey Lant may seem to be a little arrogant.
Of course, it may often be necessary to criticize other people. But if you get the impression that the reason for doing this is primary goal is to position yourself as an expert. Every criticism ought to be honest and wellmeaning.

Somewhat talkative

Besides Dr. Lant is somewhat talkative. But personally I don't care so much, as what he says usually is very informative and helpful.

A good starting point

If you want a book that'll show you step-by-step how to create your own information products, how to market and sell them, and how to profit enormously from your business, I think this book is a good starting point.

So even if you don't like Dr. Lant's style, I think you'll be glad if you've bought and read this book.
