Review
Maybe you think, “Oh no,
not yet another book on Affiliate Marketing!”
And I admit that that was
my first thought too.
But then I read some of
the raving reviews this book has received. Besides, the book
and it’s author seemed to be serious and professional.
So, I was a bit curious
when I opened the PDF-file and began to read the book.
Soon I got so interested
in what I was reading that I decided to print out the 230+
pages in order to make the reading more comfortable. I don’t
do that very often. All those printed books fill a lot on your
shelves, and it loads your printer. But in this case I soon
discovered that here was something really worth printing out
and saving.
What James Martell has created is a
step-by-step guide to setting up your own highly profitable
Internet business selling affiliate products. And when I call
James Martell's "Affiliate Marketers Handbook 2002" a
'step-by-step' guide, I'm using that description in it's
truest sense.
James Martell has split up the whole
process, of setting up and running your affiliate business, in
8 steps. And it's seldom I've seen a book that goes so much
into the nitty-gritty details that this book does.
In his "Affiliate Marketers Handbook 2002"
James Martell shares his own proven system for earning a
really nice income through affiliate products. And so far as I
can judge, he has really left no stone unturned, in the
description of his system.
This doesn't mean that there isn't more to
say about affiliate marketing. There is. For example, James
Martell doesn't really cover the role of building an opt-in
list. And there are other subjects that he doesn't cover. But
he can certainly not be accused of leaving out the details
about his own system.
James Martell relies very much on the search engines when
marketing his affiliate web sites. He creates a lot of
affiliate direct response web sites, and then he promote these
web sites by his own unique approach to get high rankings in
the search engines. And this process he covers very much in
detail.
Practically everything on his web sites is created with the
search engines in mind: The domain names, the titles of each
individual page on his sites, the many articles etc. On the
face of it, this doesn't sound that unique, but once you read
about James Martell's system as described here in his
"Affiliate Marketers Handbook 2002", you'll soon notice that
it really is James Martell's own, unique system.
Some Internet marketers don't like focusing that much on
the search engines. And I agree that there are other very
important ways of promoting your web sites. But I also agree
with James Martell that the search engines are extremely
important. And who says that you need to choose between
focusing on the search engines and using other methods for
promoting your web sites?!
One very strong argument for James Martell's system is that
it practically takes care of itself. His unique method for
making his web sites search engine friendly is much more
time-resistant than most of the other smart tricks often used
to cheat the search engines. Once you've customized your web
sites according to James Martell's formula, you can feel
pretty safe that they'll rank high on the search engines for a
long time to come. The reason is that this method is based
upon the way the search engines themselves want to rank web
sites. But in the case that something changes, James Martell
publishes relevant updates on a special, password protected
web site for all buyers of his book.
Painstakingly James Martell covers each step
in the process, and I think he's made it so easy that most of
his readers will find it easy to follow his advice.
As I said earlier, you can supplement James
Martell's methods with those of others. However, I think James
Martell's system stands quite strongly by itself.
Overall assesment
In my opinion this is one of the very
best books I've read on affiliate marketing. Maybe even
the best. (A competitor is Rosalinds Gardner's book, which
is also excellent).
If you'd like to establish your own
successful almost 100% automatic Internet business, I think
you'll can do nothing better than invest in this book.
In short, I give this book, "Affiliate Marketers Handbook
2002", my highest and strongest
recommendations. Buy it! It's a very good book!
